Is it possible to train a cat to live outdoors the vast majority of the time?
I once had a cat that did this automatically. Was always welcome inside but chose to hang out on the porch or go on little adventures. I eventually got rid of the litter box as it was not used. The guy lived until 20, eventually dying of what the vet said was probably a heart attack while laying in his favourite spot.
Is this something any cat is capable of?
