Proper response when dog barks/demands food?

I give my dogs some of the food i eat, not of the king that would hurt them but every once in a while (couples of weeks or so) i give them that little slice of chocolate they like, you know how it goes, puppy eyes, you feel extremely bad and you just give them a little small piece.

recently, however, my smallest dog (i have a golden retriever, a cat and a small size dog (he's the oldest)) has been demanding food, he would put his hand on me when i am eating, he's " yelling " (barking) at me to give him food and i am starting to think this is going to be something unhealthy, i get the feeling he's trying to be the alpha around here and that is something that may lead to a disaster (also i am pretty sure the retriever is the alpha considering that she is way too big for the other pets and easily pins him down in their fights)

so, how do i deal with this? my golden never does this, she literally stands there with her mouth open and waits for me to give her something, sometimes she waits for a while before i realize she's there but i always give her if it won't make her sick. my cat is pretty polite she hops next to me and just.... waits with commanding eyes? she knows what she wants though so she never really eats much from me.
small dog on the other hand just, sits next to me (it's his favorite seat) puts his hand on my hand and if i don't give him whatever food within 2 seconds he starts barking and i believe, demands it.
and like i said this is a problem for two reasons:

1- if he's trying to " alpha " me, it might lead to issues.

2- half the food i eat is NOT good for dogs.
