Tips for caring for singleton, 5-6 week old kitten?

Hello! I’m having trouble finding tips that would be helpful specifically for my situation so I turned to Reddit.

I’m fostering a kitten who was found by himself, no siblings or mom that we’re aware of. It’s a bit hard to tell how old he is, because he’s fairly small and very clingy, but he’s litter trained (never had an accident!!), is very playful, and he can run + see perfectly so my guess is 5 or 6 weeks.

I’m kind of looking for any general advice but my main concern is preventing him from being overly clingy. On the one hand, I’d feel awful making him stay by himself in his room all night when he doesn’t have any family to keep him company so I feel compelled to sleep in there all the time. On the other hand, I’m worried this will encourage him to be clingy and have attachment issues. He’s very well behaved for kitten and since it’s just him, I don’t have problems sleeping with him like I have other foster cat families so I’m mostly just wondering if it’s okay to do, as it doesn’t bother me. Any advice on that would be nice :)

Thanks a bunch!
