I need advice and help.
My wife's cat when she got him began having minor episodes of growling. He is less than 2 years old and in this these episodes have steadily gotten worse.
He has began having violent seizures. Upwards of 15 times a day. He has them at times in clusters. He is uncontrollable during this and flings himself upwards of 3-4ft at a time. He becomes severely disoriented after and at times will lose control of his bowels. He will at times spin in circles prior to having on and has severely injured himself during these. He has tore into his own skin, ripped a partial claw out and even began tearing at his ear.
As of today he has a severely bloated anal gland that is red and iritated. He also has had times where he has began foaming out of his mouth for upwards of 10-15 minutes without moving. There are also times that he will stand completely still and look directly into a wall without any type of emotion. When he is bumped into or anything he will not even move his head. He remains extremely disoriented and this at times happens after his seizure for upwards of 20 minutes plus. He also started severely circling before having these episodes now.
On top of seizures there are other issues that continue to worsen. He is not gaining weight. He has maintained the same wright for well over the entirety of her owning him. He has a healthy appetite however he can not seem to gain anything. He is the same size as a kitten roughly 4-5 months in size. He also have severe diarrhea. He has never had a solid stool once and his stool is severely strong in odor. Its extremely strong to where it at times gets others sick (humans of course). He is also very lethargic and refuses to let anyone touch him nor get near him. He is not in any form the type ot cat to be loved or shown affection.
This was all initially diagnosed as a anxiety/stress issue. My wife was told he initially only needed time to settle however after quite some time that is far from the case. We have tried multiple things and have changed his diet hoping to help the stool issue. We have tried Vet visits and are about to try seizure medication. However we are beginning to fear for the worst. We are asking for opinions or what may be the next move for him.
