I’ve been wanting a Bichon puppy for awhile now. After months of vigorous searching for a breeder on AKC, I put the down payment and waited 2 more months for the puppy to be 8 weeks old. I was ready to bring him home on 12/8. On the day of the breeder called me saying the vet told them the puppy had a swollen tongue and weighs 1lb less than his litter mates(probably due to him or his litter mates biting his tongue, according to the vet). Because of this the vet is worried he might go into “sugar shock” under the stress of travel. The breeder said they would take care of the puppy for another week and keep me posted by the end of the week. I agreed and asked for a picture of the puppy(he’s so cute I love him!). This morning I texted the breeder to check up on the puppy...he passed away from sugar shock due to low blood sugar from not eating enough.... I’m so sad...I’ve never even met this puppy and I feel like a piece of my heart has been ripped out.
Nothing I could do about it I guess.. I’m going to keep looking and find another breeder... I just wanted to vent a little.
