Cat adjusting to living with dog. Help!

I’ve been living alone in my college apartment for the past few months, so I decided to get a pet cat to keep me company. Since it’s a three bedroom and with how the leases are, I was not expecting roommates until next august when a wave of new college students start signing on. When I adopted my cat, they told me that she could not live with dogs. She does not get along with them whatsoever (typical), and the few times she’s met dogs, she has hissed, gotten angry, and hit them. Just yesterday, my leasing office called and told me I would have an immediate roommate move in. I found out today just before she came that she has a dog. A big dog. Without a collar and leash. That is a puppy, so of course it doesn’t listen as well and is very hyperactive. My cat has already had a run in with my roommate’s dog twice now when she’s let it out of her bedroom without restraining it. My cat is now hiding underneath the couch and I cannot get her out. Very stressful situation I am in. I’ve said all this to basically ask how can I help my cat adjust to living with a new person and a dog? Any pet owners with a nosey dog and cat who hates it have any advice? Help!!

TL;DR I have a cat and a random roommate just moved into my apartment with a dog. Any tips or advice how how to help my cat (who hates dogs) adjust to the new living situation?
