Hi guys,
So a cat (it’s smaller than an adult cat, but bigger than a kitten) followed us home from the store today. It even followed us inside our house, and we fed it tuna and water. It was cuddling and super friendly with the family and is an absolute SWEETHEART! However, she kept going to the door and constantly meowing loudly. Eventually we just let her out and let her do what she wanted, but she’s just been sitting outside of our door meowing occasionally. When we open the door for her she contemplates coming inside but doesn’t. We’re going to be posting fliers and such to find her a home Incase she had one, but we’d also be totally down to adopt her! Likely will take her to a vet and check for a chip etc. Is this a free service? Also, should we bring her inside if we don’t find her owners, even if she’s meowing to go outside? Just a bit confused with her behavior. She wants to be around us and came inside but suddenly decided she wanted to be outside, but if we close the door she starts meowing at us. Just looking for the proper next steps in this situation. Thanks!
