Before I adopted my cat he was an indoor/outdoor in a small community in the middle of nowhere. I recently started renting a room from some family in busy area so I decided it would be best to acclimate him to be an indoor cat especially since I'd only be here a few years since I'll probably get an apartment when I finish my degree.
The first week or so he walked around the house meowing which I figured was normal. After that it seemed he was mostly used to his new living arrangements but recently he's started sitting by the door meowing and scratching like he wants out and I'm not really sure why.
I try to play with him everyday, he's got a full bowl of food, and clean litter. I'm really not sure why he's started doing this. The cats I had growing up were always indoor cats so is this normal for an ex indoor/outdoor cat?
