Excuse spelling issues or fornatting. I'm on mobile, and walters cuddled in but growls if i move my hands too much so Im trying to type it in one go.
Walter is a sweet kind boy who was abandonned and starved in a closet when he was found. All he ever wants is absolute love 99% of the time. If i dont leave the night he would never hurt a fly. This issue is something I can just wait a day and he'll be back to normal but I just want him to be the happiest all the time as he really does deserve it.
Ive left him with friends, automatic feeders, etc a few times over the years. Never frequent and i try my best to avoid it. Even if i leave for a week, or even just a day, the moment i come home if I try to pet him he violently attacks my hands. He will jump in my bed with me and if my hands move to even reach my phone or glass he will attack and I have to freeze and avoid eye contact. He is fine with other people when im gone, but when I get back he will attack the people he was fine with just before I openned the door.
How can I help him get through this faster? would taking off my shirt with the new strange smell so he can investigate it? I tried treat feeding by hand and the moment theres no more treats to give he goes back to violence. Its not like i try to force anything, its just my reaching for the remote or putting on/taking off socks, etc.
At night he cuddles in but Im not allowed to touch. It's so weird?
The next day, first thing in the morning he'll have moved on and go back to being an absolute cuddly lovebug.
I just want him to be comfortable and I want to know if there's anyrhing I can do to help him.
