I am really frustrated because I kicked this dude out like 2 months ago or so. I had really had it with him and I had known him since high school we were actually hella good friends at one point like bro and sis.
Anyways he came to live at my bf and I apt and (he’s dating some girl atm we will call her M. M is definitely the type of girl to speak her mind and be super like snappy/ judgy. I also kicked them out cause I noticed she was using my things. So someone like that.)
He freaking wanted to get a puppy which was so dumb because his gf helped him make that decision and it was literally after my bf and I told him we wanted to get dogs once we all got a DUPLEX. With a YARD. But no he had to get a puppy now in a 600 sq. Ft apt.
This dog I knew was going to be filthy. And I don’t have anything against dogs trust me I love dogs I used to have an Aussie she was the best and I can’t wait to get more. But this dog he was getting for free from his gf family and the puppies were from outside and he told me she was most likely gonna have fleas. And I didn’t wanna be thought of as a Karen. Cause I KNEW that was how it was going to come off as and I knew his gf was gonna think I was a total bch. But in reality I wanted to be like oh hella nah dude you’re not bringing that dog in here unless she’s got flea medicine already on her and she’s washed and cleaned cause fleas are an absolute bch to get rid of. And I didn’t want to sound even more like a Karen because I am the 2% of the world that actually gets incredibly bitten by fleas. And I mean bad. My legs have welts and scabs and blood all over them from scratching so much and I have bites all over my feet and ankles. And I’ve known about this allergy I have to them because I had an ex who never took care of his dog and his dog had the worst case of fleas I had ever seen and they ate my ass up. (I bought his dog flea medicine and tried my best to take care of his dog while I could.)
And now I’ve kicked these people out and I’m just now noticing fleas everywhere. Which is hella strange. We weren’t having problems of them before and my roommate did at one point get the dog flea medicine. But what I think happened is I opened a closet where they used to sleep and stuff and I think I’ve seen them throw the dogs harness in there a couple of times. And I opened that closet up to access all my pairs of shoes in there and the bites started when I was wearing a pair of Uggs and then I switched to my vans and noticed more bites. And basically they’re just traveling everywhere at this point. I also wanna barf cause I found a frozen HUGE-TEXAS SIZED flea in our fridge. 🤮🤮🤮 I am so pissed and I’m in so much pain on my feet and legs.
I need all the advice I can get. I’ve dealt with fleas before but I am so broke poor this is my first time out on my own we don’t have a vacuum or any of that stuff but the only furniture we have is in the room which is a mattress on the floor and we only have carpet in the bedroom. The fleas seem to be from the living room which is all wood and stuff.
TLDR:; Ex-Roommate gets puppy and leaves fleas behind after I kicked him out.
