Hi! I recently adopted a cat. He is 5 months old and we are having some troubles with him. First of all, no matter how much we feed him, he is constantly hungry and would swallow everything. We are trying to keep an eye on him for that all the time.
The second problem which is much more serious is the fact that he is attacking us very frequently, for no apparent reason. Sometimes he just stops and stares at me for a few seconds and then jumps at my face, scratching it and biting my chin.
He is extremely playful and my father sometimes plays with him and lets him bite, scratch and fight with him. It does not bother my father, but it seriously hurts me, especially when he stares at me and then attacks. He kind of scares me.
I tried buying toys and even hitting his head when he does that ( just a little bit, not painful) but nothing works. It even makes it worse. I read that I should just let him bite until he calms down, but he doesn't. And how could I just "let" him bite since I am not doing anything and he attacks me?
Thank you in advance for your help!
