Basically I have had this cat for 10 years last Spring and as of about a month or two ago we got a new kitten. He was obviously territorial, he hissed and swiped. But unless I just never caught him, he never sprayed. But regardless, I am unsure as of what to do. He spends most of his day in my room and meows at me if he needs to go to the bathroom, which he does outside and come right back in. The funny thing is he had just came in from outside when he sprayed a table leg right next to a cat tower, and then once I cleaned it up he started rubbing himself on the cat tower. We also have another cat that has been here for at least a year, but I really cannot remember, she is Siamese. She uses the cat tower most often with the kitten starting to use it pretty regularly, but the cat that sprayed never really used it or any other cat structure we had in the past. Another odd behavior is that he used to take naps with the cat Siamese cat, but I have not seen that happen as often and when they are both in my bed at night I sometimes get jolted awake by my cat hissing at the Siamese. I know this is a lot of information and a lot of it might not have any correlation to the spraying.
TLDR; Cat sprayed because of new kitten. Help!
