We got him from a relative of mine about three years ago. My relative had a wife who rescued our cat. His wife passed away and I wonder if our cat misses her?
Me and my cat are very close but my cat and my relative’s wife were very close too.
He’s a very vocal cat, but he’s more meow-y than usual lately. And he’s very needy lately. I mean, he likes attention and love but he’s clingy lately which is weird for him. I don’t mind giving him the extra attention I just don’t want him to be sad.
Is this behavior because he is sad? What can I do to cheer him up? I’ve tried giving treats, playing (he will play. But three minutes later he stops...), and extra scritches and love.
I love my cat very much. He always comforts me when I’m sad (idk how he knows!) so I want to do the same for him. Thanks :)
