i have been very stressed and burned out lately and i thought of adopting a cat. i've always wanted to have a pet but my mom is against it. if she'd have one, it would probably be a k9 dog to guard our house. i overheard her and my brother talking about cute and like smaller pets and my mom's just not into it and said smaller pets could easily be knocked down in one kick. i need to convince her since i'm also a minor and can't adopt one myself. my mom is not dangerous as i might made her sound, i mean she might actually kick my pet when i had one but her hate for pets can't get that serious i'm sure.
any advice on how i could convince/talk her to it?
