Sorry upfront if this is a silly question - tonight’s my first night with a 2 month old kitten from the local humane society. She’s set up in a bathroom with her bed, litter box, food and water, and some no-string toys (thank you internet for the advice). I was prepared to have to convince myself to ignore her sad meows all night but nope, nothing! Do I just say thank you to the cat gods or is this an indication of something wrong?
Also, any advice on how many nights to have her sleep closed-off in this room before letting her roam would be much appreciated :-). She’s allowed to roam (observed) during the day but is closed up at night for safety!
