We've had our cat almost 10 years now, and the first 5 or so there was 0 problems.
Perfectly potty trained, never had an accident, nothing.
Then randomly one day he peed/pooped on the couch, then again, then in a hamper, then on our beds, and has probably peed or pooped just about anywhere in the house by now.
We took him to the vet, nothing wrong, he's healthy.
We tried changing his food, we tried changing his litter box, we bought an extra one. Tried moving them in new places, I mean every suggestion we could possibly find we tried for close to a year.
He still would find something to pee or poop on at least once a week.
Then, he stopped. Randomly. Almost no problems for a year +.
Here we are now in 2021, and he's started doing it again.
Same process, vet says he's good, we've tried a million troubleshooting ideas. Nothing works.
We can't afford anymore vet visits, and we can't have him using the house as a litter box.
what in the world do we do at this point?
