Hi all, Some background- I have a cat who is 10 years old. My family adopted her when she was a kitten, but she has always been “my” cat. She is very shy and timid around people outside my family. However, my family dows have a bichon frise since before we adopted her and they have always gotten along. When I lived on my own when I was in college she came with me and adapted well because it was just the two of us. I have recently graduated college so I moved back home with the cat (she also adapted just fine being home again). I recently got a job and am planning on moving out and into an apartment with one of my good friends in the next few months. My friend has just gotten a shitzu (less than 1 yr old). I know my cat will eventually adapt to my new roommate after a while, I’m just nervous about the dog. The dog is the same size as the dog we have at home, so I’m hoping she won’t be scared. Also, she tries to play with our dog now but she is old and won’t reciprocate. Maybe she will enjoy playing around with the puppy? Any tips on how to introduce the two when we do move in together?
