I have two cats, one I got 2 years ago (m), and a new (m) cat which we got a few weeks ago. They seem to get along. My old cat keeps licking my new cat, and he lets him. Then they fight a little after the groom which I think had to do with too much groom so the new cat got annoyed.
There is something he does which I think is odd, so when I had to chase my new cat to give him medicine - my new cat came from a hoarding situation and he hates being held- my old cat ran too but he hits my new cat, and the new cat lowers down his head. I thought they were getting along because my new cat will sometimes stand up against my old cat and fight back.
I am thinking there is a bullying situation, but I saw my new cat that he can stand up against him, it happens when I had to chase my new cat.
Sorry, if I made no sense, I wrote too fast.
TDLR: My old cat is hitting my old cat whenever we had to hold him to take his medicine, and the old cat just lowers his head.
