I'm in the middle of a messy divorce and had to take a place that doesn't allow animals, so our cat is staying behind with my ex in the house. I know he won't understand why I never came home. We bottle raised him, and though he prefers my ex, he still loves on me and waits for me when I'm not home. It's breaking my heart I can't bring him with me. Is there any way I can make it easier on him?
