I had lived with my best friend and her husband, we got a dog together. I lived with them for 3 years, then I had to leave. I told the dog that I love him, I want him and no matter how long it takes, I will come back for him.
Çut to two years later, my friend and her husband split up and dump our dog in the pound. I don't hear about it for almost a month, but I'm in luck, he's still there. I went and sprung him. I was so emotional and proud that I am making good on my promise to him. The dog...he seems to not recognize me, so I take off my mask, no real change.
Any thoughts on what might be going on here?
