Im considering of adopting a dog but is it too late for my 8th month old kitten who never has seen a dog

My kitten has been an 'only child' so to speak; we had kept her in another part of the house because my senior cat didn't want her where she was.

I did have 3 cats who are now deceased were used to having dogs. Not the kitten.

And now, my family is now considering adopting 1 dog right now (we didnt have any dogs since the last one passed almost a year ago). How should i do this? Any advice is helpful
