Throwaway account. At the adoption agency I filled out the paperwork in my name, my gf’s name was not listed. He is microchipped in my name. However, she paid me cash for half the adoption fee. She also got an ESA letter from her therapist for him due to her mental health struggles. We may be facing a break up soon and I am just wondering who will legally get to keep the cat, as we will undoubtedly fight over him. We both love him and we would both be good owners.
