I have an 8 month old terrier mix that I've had for 6 months. I love her to pieces. Generally we go on 2 walks a day, a mile in the morning and a mile in the evening. We play fetch and wrestle in-between, she has an assortment of toys and other animals (3 cats, 1 other dog) to play with, but she never and I mean NEVER calms down.
She chews everything and hardly listens. I try not to spank or scream and use instead positive reinforcement like praise and treats when she is good and scold when she is bad. She is food driven and a fear biter, so it's hard to take her anywhere because I'm afraid of her biting someone.
I've only ever really had older dogs before, so a puppy was different and there was a learning curve and lots of research, but i don't know what else I can do with all her energy. Any tips or advice would be appreciated!
