we just adopted a cat (1 year old) and she was fixed on friday. the shelter told us that we could take the cone off by monday (today) or tuesday. they also didn’t specify if they meant this week or next week. they sealed the incision with some sort of glue.
we gave her a few minutes of supervised cone-free time and she tried to lick it so we put it back on. is it safe for her to lick it now because she has glue instead of stitches or staples?
can we take the cone off? should we wait? do we need to consult a vet? i’m not sure I trust the shelter’s word, it seems a little early to be taking it off to me but i’m also not a vet
