So I don't have pets of my own but I was visiting my grandma with a friend and her dog did something bad and they with him with a newspaper, I thought it was normal because that wasn't the first time the dog messed up, but my friend said how he absolutely hated it and he would not do it to his own, I also said that if I had a cat that did something bad I would also prob punish him with a newspaper, like, nothing overboard and not for him to feel hurt, but to make him understand, if you are going to downvote me please atleast answer me cause I am ignorant and I want to know what is best
