I'm not quite sure what exactly is happening...
We got our 2 (indoor) cats 13-14 years ago. They're brothers and get along pretty well. One exeption was early 2019, where we had to separate them for a few days because they couldn't stand each other.
Not sure if it's related, but I rearranged my room around 2 weeks ago. I now get much more light in my room and the cats love it. But every time one approaches the other one while they're lying in the sunlight, they get into a small 'fight' (a single slap) before going separate ways. It also seems like they're not sleeping together much lately...
2 days ago, both of them got into a big fight with lots of hissing and ripped out fur. We separated them for a short while and afterwards, they acted like before.
Yesterday was fine throughout most of the day, but in the evening they got into a big fight again and we kept them in separate rooms for a few hours. Before going to bed I checked on them and they acted normal again...
I'm somewhat at a loss right now. Both of them are currently sleeping on my bed, next to each other, like nothing happened. I'm not sure if they just went through a phase or if something is actually going on between them... Anyone maybe had something similar happening to them?
