I adopted a kitten in February, he's around 9 or 10 months old now. He's very sweet and social, but sometimes is naughty (typical kitten behavior). However, recently whenever I have to clip his nails he gets really upset and starts acting out. Today I could only get through one paw before he started totally freaking out and biting me, and then afterwards he kept jumping on me with claws out and trying to bite. I know clipping his nails upsets him, and usually I try to wait until he is just more tired or relaxed before clipping them, but it's not always possible. Is there anything I can do to help him get more adjusted to clipping his nails? I feed him treats afterwards to try and show him that it's not terrible and he gets a reward after, but it doesn't always work. Does anyone have any tips on how to make him feel better, and make clipping his nails easier so I also don't end up with scratches all over me!! TIA (:
