I adopted my cat at the age of 3. She’s currently 8 years old now. Recently she’s been buying herself (stomach) and scratching face until it was raw and bleeding. I brought her to the vet and we thought it was allergies but it turns out it’s cancer because she had a few lumps after and we got it checked out. She’s got malignant lymphoma. She’s currently on medication for pain. For 8 months I’ve been putting g a cone on her so that her wound would heal. I took it off a month ago and she started biting one part of her stomach and feet until she started bleeding again. I can tell she’s in pain, the vet also upped the dosage of gabapentin (but I can tell she’s still in pain). Anyone else experienced their cat biting themselves? What did you do? It hurts for me to see her in a cone - I want her to be able to run free (she’s got 6-9months)
