My cat gave birth to a single kitten. Typical for any cat, it was at a dark and hard to reach place. The kitten is now 20 days old and at the sane place it was born. No daylight enters this place and there isn't a lot of room to walk around. There is a way out of there for the cat, it can carry the kitten out, but she just won't. I told her it's safe, I set up a box which she enters but wouldn't bring her kitten?? I am worried that without daylight the kitten will become sick, not get strong enough bones and who knows what else. My question is should I carry it out of there myself? Will the mother hide it in an even more renote place or stop taking care of it? Is it safe for me to touch the kitten at this age?
