Per title, we've had our 6 month old cat for about two months now. She's very energetic, and has a habit of toe biting, and me and my girlfriend have our share of scars from scratching as well. She'll bite our hands when we're at the computer or go for any open skin if we're sitting on the couch, to the point where we basically cocoon ourselves under blankets for protection. Whenever she does get like this, I'll play with her for 10-15 minutes with a few cat toys until she lays down and doesn't seem interested in playing anymore.
We play for about an hour daily spread over 4-5 sessions throughout the day. I've also seen advice about reacting like a littermate, yelping and disengaging from play for a few minutes, but she just follows me around biting my toes when I do this. We also play for about 15 minutes about an hour before bed, she still has the energy to grab onto my feet under the blanket and kick and bite. When putting her outside, she'll meow, claw and bite the door despite putting tinfoil at the bottom as suggested. She won't sleep at night if the door is open, or if she's outside and it's closed.
We're kind of at a loss at this point, we've taught her to sit for treats and do some tricks just to reenforce obedience, but if she isn't reacting to positive reinforcement for playing nice, and she isn't paying attention to what we're trying to do with the usual advice for a nippy cat, I'm not sure what else is left.
We've spent a lot of time scrolling through suggestions, and I feel like we've seen everything.
