Cat suddenly unable to use one of her rear legs

She is 14 years old, extremely healthy and never had any issues whatsoever.

However, she suddenly starting to limp on her rear leg out of the blue. She seems to be in no pain which is good, she is eating, purring, and using the bathroom when we bring her to the litter box. Her upper hip has movement, but she has absolutely no control over her foot/ankle area. At the ankle area her foot/ankle can hinge way too easily. There is no resistance which is strange, her foot just flops loosely at the joint. Vets aren't sure what it is and neither am I.
