We came from the vet yesterday because he couldnt walk anymore, and he is crying and wincing in pain everytime he tries to go up. It has been apparently progressing to this these past few days. We found that he has a really bad arthritis. He is pretty young, 9 yrs old but the vet told us he may be at the end of his life and he might not pull through even with medication.
I dont know if I should let him go now, he is at a point where he cries even when not moving. I dont know if it is from the pain or from the frustration of not being able to go up. Anyway, I woke up because he yelped really loudly. He moved himself over on the other side of his bed. I dont know. I feel sad for him. He seems and sounds like in great pain. He has not been able to stand unassisted these past few months and spends his days just lying down but he manages to pull through, I dont know if I should just continue with the medication and see if he manages or I am just delaying the inevitable and prolonging his suffering.
