We have a golden who is going to hit 16 this August. We have had her since she was 3 and we are her third home. She has been struggling with her back legs for a long time, but she is going downhill faster now. We have to hold her up to eat sometimes, she just sleeps all day, she is confused sometimes and just this morning she could not hold her crouch for long enough to urinate.
Obviously we don’t mind helping her with whatever, but when is it time to be realistic and make the decision to let her go?
If anyone can offer advice or tell of their experience, it will help.
