Hi so my 3 year old cat Jazz are moving a few hours away from where we live and he absolutely hates being in vehicles, it causes him a lot of stress even going across town when I’ve taken him to the vet. I’m aware that certain sleep aids can be used safety on cats so I tried to give him a third of one and then holding his jaw closed. It didn’t work, he started spitting and eventually threw it up whole. My second attempt was to crush the pill very finely and put it in his wet food which he usually loves but he took one taste, made a grossed out face, and won’t touch it.
Does anyone have any tips on giving him this medication that will stress him out as least as possible?
