So I have a Shetland sheepdog, Sadie, Who’s previous owner abused her, But that’s a story for another sub. Anyway, she often expresses herself in a way similar to a cat, like, when you start giving her Butt scritches, she’ll try to raise her butt and also try to raise her tail. And she knows she can’t purr like a cat, so she starts panting, but she still barks at randoms walking across the street, and if she wants to play, she sometimes rolls on her belly and starts batting at you with her paws, kind of like how a cat will bat it’s paws if it wants to play, thankfully she doesn’t bite. LOL
