Recently my cat has been having trouble in the litter box. Frequent visits with little produce in terms of urine. Took him to the vet and vet says that it's most likely stress. My newer cat basically beats on my baby and scares him when he's trying to sleep. Now most people would say to just lock one of them away at night. Easy, right? Wrong. My cat beats on the door causing it to make this really loud noise constantly. It's awful and no one gets any sleep. If I lock the new cat away he wails all night long and also bangs on the door. The solution would be to effectively separate them at night but I don't know how without losing my sleep or being unfair to one or both of them. I'm kind of at a loss. I love my baby but I hate him being so stressed out. It doesn't help that he is 17 lbs and FAT and doesn't run that much and he is also a submissive cat and prefers to hide. I'm trying to work with my family to reduce my cats weight but I'm moving out for college in August and I'm really worried :/
Can anyone provide some advice or something??
