Boyfriend and I adopted a new kitten within the past week. We had let her roam about the house a bit, but she was mostly confined to two rooms in our small apartment. We gave her a dawn soap bath as she is too small for any flea treatment to be safe since we did know she came from a foster home with many other pets. We found a good amount of fleas, we used a flea comb and tweezers to get as many out as possible. We also bought flea spray and sprayed and vacuumed every room she was in, washed anything she had slept on/bedding, towels, clothes etc.
Tonight we gave her another dawn bath and noticed there were mostly dead fleas on her and maybe one or two live ones. We want to avoid further infestation on her and in our house and we honestly just feel so bad for her having to deal with fleas in the first place. We want to make sure we’re doing everything we can. Does anyone have any recommendations on anything else we should/can be doing?
