i adopted 2 kittens from the shelter about a week ago. i took them both to the vet for a checkup but mostly because my black cat had discharge in his eyes and was sneezing(ive posted in this reddit before if u remember me!). my gray cat was sneezing as well but it didnt seem to be of much concern as it was only like 3 times a day. i did tell the vet about both of them sneezing. he ended up giving me amoxicillin(7 days) and eye cream(7 days) only for my black cat and said my gray one was healthy. he did say that if my gray one ends up getting sick to just give him the rest of my black cats meds. its been about 4 days since i took them to the vet and my black cat is perfectly fine but now my gray one is constantly sneezing. the issue is that the amoxicillin looks like it only has just about enough to finish my black cats dosage. my question is, is it safe to stop giving my black cat his meds and start giving it to my gray one? should i split the medication and give it to both until its gone? should i finish his prescription and just go to the vet again to get more for my other kitten? my black kittens sickness was a little more severe and the gray kittens seems to just be sneezing. he is otherwise still playful and eating tons. could his just go away on it own since its a lot more mild? or should i not even risk it?
