I have a one bedroom apartment. New cat stays in my room at night and comes out during the day. Resident cat won’t stop screaming for hours on end in the mornings and at nights. Even before new cat he would scream but less often. he attacks every time it sees new cat, even with slow introduction. if i keep new cat in the room during the day resident cat still screams. Haven’t had more than 5 hours of sleep a night for two weeks because of it. New cat is perfect, so sweet.
I find myself losing my temper with resident cat, yelling at him more. I play with him and cuddle with him during the day and try so hard to get him to adjust but it’s not working. I don’t want to rehome him because that would be replacing him 😭
