Cat Ear Floppy After Hematoma Surgery

My family cat who lives at my parents started showing signs of her ear hurting and going floppy yesterday. She is a 13 year old indoor outdoor cat who found her way to our house when I was a teenager and made it her home. She was taken to the vet and it was a hematoma, possibly from fighting with other cats. She has a history of cat fights. The hematoma was surgically cleaned out but her ear is still so floppy! Has anyone gone through this with a cat? Did the ear perk back up or was it deformed after? She is the kind of cat that won't show she is feeling bad until it is too late. I'm hoping there isn't permanent damage.
