So, I just adopted a cat, however we have a rambunctious little dog about half of the cats size. The dog desperately wants to play but scares the cat with how the dog approaches it. I don't want the cat to hurt my dog by scratching it, however I want them to be able to be in the same room and get used to each other. I think that if his claws weren't am issue they'd be able to have time to interact without anyone getting hurt. I looked into declawing, but that's expensive and kind of fucked up to do. Are there any cost effective alternatives that will help either clip the claws or lessen them so that he doesn't hurt my dog? Thank you reddit
