My oldest dog has been wanting to stay outside and not come in, she goes as far as yelping when I try to get her in. Although in the summer months this would be perfectly fine, she is shivering and still doesn't want to come in.
My best guess to why she's doing this is because our youngest dog is a St. Bernard, and is very strong. They have fought several times and the older dog always ends up bloody, large cuts in her leg and around her neck. I think the older dog realizes that she is not the Alpha anymore and so she hides outside so that would be her "territory" but I don't know.
When I say "Old" I don't mean that she's very old, she's only seven, which for a German Shepherd Mutt, isn't that bad. Can anyone of you guys give me guidance?
