My cat (M16) was diagnosed with chronic kidney failure. His creatinine values were very high when we found it, but now they’re almost okay, and we have been treating his anemia. Since he has to take his fluids every other day, we started to apply it at home on wednesday, our vet thought us how to do it. My cat hates hugs or to be touched, and only let us pet him in the head when he feels like it, so it’s almost hell to hold him down to give him his fluids. My mom is holding him down with a towel and I’m doing it, but she’s not very patient, when he tries to attack her she yells and hold him tighter to the point I think it might hurt him, he meows so loud I think the whole building can hear it, and I feel like I’m putting him into this pain, and my heart is just broken. Other than that, he’s eating well his kidney dry and wet food, drinking water, playing and stuff. Also, every time we finish to give him fluids he rush to his bowl and eats everything fast?! Can someone give me some tips on how to make this moment less painful for him? Maybe I’m doing it wrong?!?! Idk
