What's the general consensus around here in regards to Canidae food products?

Hello, a friend of mine asked me and my girlfriend if we would be interested in adopting dog, as it comes from a breeder that closed down shop and had to get rid of all the dogs he had and this is the last one he has left. My girlfriend is over the moon about this because she already has 3 of her own at her parents' house but it would be a first for me in terms of having a little tail-wagging sausage roaming around the house full-time (as my previous dog lived on a small strip of land I own in the countryside so it was never an issue) and I'm in the process of choosing a suitable food brand.

This aforementioned friend casually mentioned Canidae to me because that's what the dog is currently eating as his main source of food and I've tried looking it up online and by asking the veterinary about it, but couldn't really find much, at least in terms of real feedbacks from real people countrary to pure PR nonsense that can be found on the homepage of a website which more often than not is just paid-for advertising. I've noticed it's a bit on the pricey-side of things but money isn't really an issue to me as I would be able to sustain the cost of it, but before making a final decision I would like to know from others that currently use Canidae for their dogs (or cats?) or have used it in the past about their experience with it.

The dog is a Labrador, if that makes any difference.

Many thanks to anyone willing/able to help, cheers!
