The cats name is winter, I think she's about 5ish(?) Very pretty cat, but apparently was a feral cat my mom sorta just baited into the house and domesticated several years ago. I knew immediately she wasn't the calmest cat in the world since she hides from strangers, like to claw at clothed furniture, growls when she hears someone but can't physically see them and other traits like that, but for the most part she's really warmed up to me to the point it hurts.
She's now attention CRAZY, she follows me around the house everywhere, waits outside my door, constantly brushing up against me while I walk, jumps onto any counters or tables near me and meows show tunes whenever she sees me, which is fine and dandy, I love that about her.
What I DON'T love is how every time I try to pet, touch or hold her she freaks the f*** out. Most cats I've met will just lay there and get petted, but not winter, she throws her ENTIRE BODY into you when you pet here. It's seriously a mini workout trying to support her and pet her, which is again fine and manageable, up until she randomly latches onto your arm like a vice grip from hell and bites down on any part of you she can get to with the bite force of an American saltwater crocodile. Seriously, my left hand looks like I was developing a secret handshake with freddy f***ing Kruger.
Of course, this started happening right when I formed a bond with the thing, so now I'm too invested and in love with the demon spawn to just pawn her off back to my mom, but I also really don't want to constantly look like I just got done playing patty cake with Edward scissor hands. I also don't want to just not pay any attention to her because she gets sad and at that point she might as well go back to my mom.
Anyways, sorry for the long post, other 'strange' things she does is whenever she attacks and you try to pull away she'll try to claw into your arm and drag you back to her, she also does this whenever you pet her and stop before she attacks so I think it's her way of saying 'hey, peasant boy, I'm not done with you yet, get back here'. Except, she's you know, mauling you literally right before that.
And she's also occasionally obsessed with climbing on shoulders like some hell cat parrot which is honestly her best mood because then she can't bite you, but you do have to deal with her claws gouging into your shoulder until she decides she wants down, which spoiler alert, hurts and another spoiler alert, she never wants down. Thanks for any help you guys can give!!
