We have a 4 months exotic shorthair kitten, she recently started nibbling at feet or hands occasionally - I think it's for playing, it doesn't really hurt - annoying nevertheless. Especially for guests at home who aren't used to it.
My understanding was that cats don't react well to punishment for bad behaviour but should be rewarded for good behaviour instead. Sometimes I manage to distract her with a toy before she nibbles but sometimes not, so I haven't really found a way that works 100%.
How to stop this behaviour and does it stop with age when the cat gets older and less playful?
