I have this girl as a friend on facebook and she is the worst pet owner! I hope this is okay to post here as I think its relevant. At first she had only one cat, but over time she has had more pets than I can count, sadly most of them died. Next she got a beta fish and a ball python. The betas tank was very small and eventually one of her kids fed the fish an entire can of fish food and it died. Her ball python was alive a few years and also its cage was too small. This poor animal died from being too cold in the back of a uhaul while she moved states. So she got a new cat and a new ball python. While her roomates had two dogs also. Nothing I know of went too bad with these animals for a few years other than an agressive rat biting the snakes tail off. Then she got her oldest kid two bearded dragons, and the younger kid a gecko. The older cat had to be put down and she got a new kitten. This is where problems really started. The kitten could easily get in the geckos cage and play with it. This woman posts lterally everything on facebook. She doesn't sneeze without letting facebook know about it. I wish I was exagerating. So she would post all the time about this cat getting in the gecko cage. However she must have gotten hate and deleted them because I couldn't find the posts when I looked for them again. This happens often with her doing nothing to protect the gecko and keep the cat (kara) out of the cage. Then the gecko comes up missing. She posts about it sure the cat ate it or let it out. But they find it later that day alive. So back in the cage ut goes but nothing changes. The cat keeps doing this. A while later the lizard looses its tail. This time she thinks the cat could of ripped it off while it was in the geckos cage. She still lets the cat play with the gecko. Then it comes missing again. And they dont find it. The young child is very upset so she goes and gets a new gecko, a baby bearded dragon, and a beta. A while later they find the first gecko while packing to move. Not long after the second gecko dies! So they move and loose the first gecko. The beta dies because she forgets to treat the water. So they get another new gecko and beta. This gecko disapears too. So the newest gecko is purchased. Until today they find the gecko ran over outside their house.
So far no new geckos and I hope they leave these poor animals alone! I hope this is the place for this post, I had to share my frustration somewhere.
