Advice on car travel vs. cat sitter for 3 mo old kitten

I just adopted an adorable kitten, only 2 months old. It’s my first pet as an adult and the first cat I’ve ever owned. I named her Moony and she is the sweetest little girl and I am in love! I am planning ahead to when I know I have to go out of town for 3 days. Moony will be 3.5 months old when the trip arrives. I am driving 8 hours away. I am trying to decide between taking her with me or hiring a sitter. I’ve read a lot about exposing the kitten to the car and making good associations with it before going on the trip. And other logistical things. However I see cons with it being such a long time to spend in the carrier (even with breaks) and it being such a short turn around for the trip and having to do 2 really long trips in 3 days. So, then I started thinking about getting a sitter. Would 3 drop-in visits a day be enough for a 3 month old kitten?? Is that still too long to be alone? Especially with the overnight stretch? Any advice on cat sitter schedules for kittens or car trips with kittens? Which option do you think is the best for my bb?
