Anyone seen this in a hamster before? Know what it is? Thanks!

So we have an 18 month Syrian and just noticed this. It has been loosing fur for a month or so, but we put that down to male pattern baldness...

Any help gratefully recieved.

Obviously looking at the rear - looks like an infected tumor to me?
