Bringing in a second kitten

I got a kitten about 1,5 weeks ago and she's doing great in my small flat, already explored everything and in general just acts like a confident, well-adjusted kitten.

I work from home so I can give her plenty of attention, but I'm thinking of getting a second kitten to keep her company whenever I'm out for extended periods of time, if I'm visiting friends in a nearby town or something like that. The local shelter has quite a few that would be roughly the same age as she is (something like +- a week old), but I'm wondering if this could possibly cause a territorial conflict. I'm assuming they're still young enough that they would adjust rapidly and be happy to have another kitten to play with, but later down the line it might prove a little tricky. The apartment is a single room with a hallway, separate kitchen and bathroom, the kitchen and bathroom being way too small to keep an animal for a few days.

If I decide to get another, how should I go about introducing the kittens to one another? Do you see the potential for territorial conflicts? How can be proactive in reducing their likelihood?

Oh, and I've already watched pretty much everything by Jackson Galaxy, but his videos seem to be geared more towards adult cats than kittens, added to that, the introduction process he recommends simply wouldn't be possible in this small apartment due to the layout.
